        To be honest with you, it was so long time ago, I don't remember exactly. I've just checked on the compass no type listed and I don't have original packaging. I think it was a Ritchie Kayaker Surface Mount, but not sure 100%. Bought it on Ebay. Sorry I can't be more help. Rgrds
