      I'm still not a member. I'd love to read those old posts, since I wrote them whilehigh as a kite on tinnitus medication. In any case, I much prefer name calling to the use of emoticons.

      I attempted to join the pub. I suppose I'll hear, eventually. Perhaps I'll be rejected. Who can predict these things? I really don't know my way around all this stuff. Ten years ago, when I joined SB there was no such thing. Just diving topics. I've been on Facebook for 10 years. I have 29 friends, and I think that's too many. Most are former students of mine, in China, India, the US, Canada, and Brasil. My Brasilian former students (politics and poetry) send me links to the finest jazz in the world. Otherwise, FB is a waste of time.
