    PADI
    Dive History:
Started diving with the South African Underwater Union in 1988. One star sport diver. Changed to PADI when my son started with his diving career to become the youngest Instructor in our province. I progressed to DM level 2012.
My home reef is Aliwal Shoal. Reef diving, wreck diving and shark diving are my main activities. I have also dived the Red Sea. I've had dives, day and night, at Wondergat, a natural water hole 65m deep.
    Certification Level:
    Divemaster
    # of Logged Dives:
    500 - 999
    Dive Classification:
Instructor / Assistant Instructor / Dive Master / Dive Con
    Years Certified:
    Six - Ten Years
    Dive Equipment:
TUSA Liberator BCD, TUSA first stage, Mares DV and Octo, Mares SPG Computer, Mares Matrix wrist computer for back - up. Analogue SPG back - up. I use Mares Quattro fins mainly for their strength in order to assist leaners and customers in strong currents. Wetsuit Mares 5-4-3mm. Water temp is 17 Celsius at its coldest. ScubaPro mask.
I love promoting SCUBA to all who will listen. I attempt to show the youngsters that there is a world and life outside of the virtual reality they live in, no thanks to cellular phones and devices. I am by nature a "helper". So naturally being a DM is a fulfilling and thrilling hobby. I am not a professional DM but take my certification seriously.
