Thanks for the welcomes and replies, especially the Oregon coast links from Sumguy! Funny, I thought I'd get at least one reply from someone diving regularly off the Oreegon coast. I have lived here for about 15 years, and have found that it is not exactly a diving mecca, but, apparently, there are local divers mostly going out after lingcod, rockfish, crabs, clams, etc. I'm in the process of getting "geared-up" and will have to see for myself.....
