Hi guys and gals! I'm a newbie in Rhode Island and I just found this board! I got my PADI OW last summer and took my first dive trip over christmas break to Sharm El Sheik and Dahab in Egypt and I can't wait to get wet again! Planning on getting AOW this summer and going back to Egypt to dive for August (my old roomate got me into diving, is egyptian, and just moved back there and got his divemaster, working towards instructor)

Hopefully I can burn some bubbles before I go!

Welcome aboard!

I'm jealous, haven't dived the Red Sea, yet!

Howdy and welcome to SB!

Good to have you here. Click here to PM me if I can help you get started in our various forums.

Hi Chazzjoh,

Welcome also, just like me you also joined up today! Happy Diving.
By the way another great place to go to which is less busy than Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt (I only went there snorkelling, I wasn't diving yet at that time) is Aqaba in Jordan, also on the Red Sea and great diving!!!
I was there this January for 5 days and the diving was absolutely fantastic (35 m viz, beautifull corals, many amazing fish, great ship wrecks) and not crowded at all!

greetings from Dubai,
divingHeidi
