Just wondering what you think the correct protocol would be if you were a dive instructor and one of your students asked your opinion....

Dr Jay,

The fish at the Hudson Grotto have developed a fondness for spit. There are huge catfish, blue gill...and other aquatic type animals with little fins. I havn't seen one of the turtles yet go after spit though.

In the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary it is illegal to feed fish anything except natural food (in other words fish). Cheeze wiz is widely known as unhealthy for fish.
