I just bought a Seacure mouthpiece for my regulator. I'm using an Atomic SS-1 as my octo. Since the SS-1 is also the inflator for your BC, standard procedure is that you take the SS-1 and your out-of-air buddy uses your primary.

Do you think there would be any problems with your buddy using a mouthpiece that's custom molded for you?

Some people say that the seacure mouthpiece tabs are too long and will make people choke/gag. In a panic situation (e.g. OOG) people deal with a standard mouthpiece better than a custom molded one

I feel you should set your equipment up for your comfort. If someone is out of air they will deal with an ill fitting mouth piece I assure you. Because I instruct I also have the ABS for skills with students and now I just dive it this way all the time. Primary, Secondary and SS1. You may need all three one day ( I have! ).
