JUST LOVE IT...

I love my D50...but to be honest When I do go to buy a housing for underwater I might get one for a d80 and just upgrade my body and keep my current lenses. I don't need the extra features and power just yet but, I personally go with the buy for the future mentality.

I currently own a oly sp350 in an ike housing and will use that underwater until I find I have surpassed my skills with that. Then and only then will I up-grade.

it's a lot of $$$ and i want to be sure it is not being wasted on my current skills.

until then I am saving up for my macro lense and a few others so that when I finally do decide to go with a dslr underwater I will already have the lenses I want, and only have to upgrade my body.

alas that is still a ways away..

Hello

As I said I just upgrade to the D80 , the most important thing is the quick autofocus , more confort with the screen and wiew finder , and the 10,2 megapixel .

I did put some pictures on flickr , if somebody want to see them ...they were all taken with the D50

Next week I start to Phillipna , I'll give you some news when coming back .

Nice pix, what lenses and ports are you using? Strobe?

I also own a D50 (and a D100 which stays in the office), and would like to get it wet. Im pretty much a point and shoot user, so most important to me is ease of use. I love the camera for use on land. Now i have to figure out the best way to house it. I also own an SB104, from a previous Nikonos camera. Is it possible to get this strobe working with a housing and the D50?

I changed from d50 to d80 in for all the reasons above but also because i wanted the 2nd control wheel..
