I have never seen or heard of Deep Sea Detectives but it is now on my Tivo "to do list".

Bruce, Deep Sea Detectives went off the air a year or two ago....

History Channel still runs episodes every couple weeks or month. My TIVO grabs them every now and then. I even ran into to one recently I didn't know was there, so it was like a new show. You can order them off the History Channel website also, but they are expensive per episode.

You can learn more at http://www.history.com/minisite.do?content_type=mini_home&mini_id=1069

Upcoming Episodes include
  • Deep Sea Detectives : Slave Ship Uncovered - Feb 26th
  • Deep Sea Detectives : The Death of the Edmund Fitzgerald - March 10th
  • Deep Sea Detectives : Underwater Train Wreck - March 10th

they also have a forum for it on History channel, although it's not that active
History Channel: Deep Sea Detectives

J.C....
That's something you could persuade the folks at History Channel to do. Come out with a "box set" of DSD episodes or "year 1", "year 2" , etc. for a reasonable price. (like $29 or $39 per a years episode).

that do-able maybe?

Since when did Deep Sea Detectives (deepseadetectives.com) become a PORN site?

**Warning** Adult content at the above URL now

Looks like a domain squatter got control of their site or it got hacked.

I sent J.C. a PM with the info so he could get it sorted out, (if he doesn't already know)

So I read most of this thread looking for Chatterton's "interview" with Scuba Board....did I miss something?

UNFREAKING BELIEVABLE

Thanks Mike,

I went to that link and there are some upcoming episodes, actually a couple today. I guess I will have to depend on my Tivo capturing them as they come up. History channel in HD now and my new HD Tivo is wonderful. I can't believe I have never seen that show.

Looks like the domain was updated today (whois.networksolutions.com)

Database last updated on 26-Feb-2008 09:36:56 EST.

Domain servers in listed order:

NS83.WORLDNIC.COM 205.178.190.42
NS84.WORLDNIC.COM 205.178.189.42

The IP to which Deep Sea Detectives now points hosts a whole bunch of spam advertised sites (see Cheap drugs at Meds Planet - for instance).

Hey, Jethead,

John make his unannounced thundrous entry into this SB thread on about page five or six, not the beginning.

I swear I heard dramatic Star Wars music when I first read his first of many, very informative posts.

Thanks Mr. Chatterton for being real, and continuing to make time for this board (addicting isn't it?).

Bruce,

I am alive, but you don't see Richie on here do you??? Nevermind, I don't want to kill the ending for you. I hope you like the book. Congratulations on becoming a diver.

Addictive, I guess?? Then again, ScubaBoard seems to have avoided much of the inane bullying that has infected a lot of other forums, so this has been a fun place for me. It is more about divers talking about diving and I like to come on here when I have the time.

We did not renew our URL for the DSD website. After 57 episodes we were not making any additional shows, and we have been out of production for more than 2 years. It seemed like a good idea to drop the site, and part of us moving on to other projects?? Someone brought my attention to the fact almost immediately after we dropped the URL it is now some sort of porn site, with nothing to do with diving or shipwrecks? My assumtion is that they seek traffic from recently discontinued sites and they do this to a lot of dropped sites?? Then again, I am just guessing. There are almost no naked pictures of Richie and/or me on the site.

This particular "Interview" forum is Doc's idea and a spin off from another forum which had a reasonably narrow focus. This is supposed to be a place where divers can ask me questions, and I can try to come up with some sort of answer. They called it an interview, and I guess in a way it is an ongoing interview, just with you supplying the questions.

Cheers

JC
