Thanks for the comment on the blenny, AndyT! That's a nice flamingo tongue, Emily--hard not to blow those out exposure-wise. Here's another recent shot that I like. This toadfish was facing a stiff current, and the only way to keep from being blown into it was to approach it from behind. When I got in front of it, I kept swimming to stem the current and I bent over to take the shot upside down. The result was lighting from beneath, which gives it a ghoulish look:

Did you edit the background?

A little bit, there was some kelp lit up in the shot that I spot eliminated to keep the black background as uniform as I could.

Here's another shot where I left the kelp in the background.
