Oklahoma diving

Are there any other places to dive near Tulsa besides Tenkiller? We are planning to be in Tulsa soon, and if Tenkiller doesn’t clear up we might consider something else.

Beaver Lake -2.5 hours away
Broken Bow Lake- 3 hours away
Murray Lake- 3 hours away

Just make sure you bring your sonar equipment with you because right now thats about the only way you can get around. I dont know about Lake Murray, but the other 3 have vis no better than 5ft right now.

I was at Murray on Sat. Jul 12. Vis was 3-5 ft. very consistent. Although, at this time of year, I consider anything better than 6 ft to be excellent; so I suppose I have to classify 5 ft as good.
btw, I classify 2-1/2 ft vis. as the absolute minimum for my tolerance/comfort level. Any lower than that and I just don't enjoy diving. Just my opinion.

Viz at Elmar Thomas is about 15' and better. It was probably better than 20' in forty feet of water 2 weeks ago.
