I still plan to be there, looks like this is maybe a "MiniDive" group has gone down in size.
To be honest I do not look forward to having to drag my tank and gear through that awful sand especially in the heat. By golly there better be some of you there after I drive 8 1/2 hours to get there too!
Doesn't matter to me if we don't have enough to do the cook out part, I would much prefer an in door, airconditioned meal. Seafood preferably.
So far I am seeing we have 3 respondees, where is our guru "yoda"? Please don't say you won't be there.
KchFla are you still coming? I really would like to meet you, we had some good chats a while back. I lost track over the last year and did not know you had moved. Sorry to hear that, I really am looking forward to meeting all of the Scubaboarders,, some of you never have met me and some have.
Oh, well I am planning to leave here 9am (8am Destin time) should be there between 4-5pm Destin time. Pending on traffic and need for pit stops.
I am bit nervous driving too, my last trip in June to my sisters I lost tread on a tire at 70 mph ended in the median of I-20 and after getting the tire situation changed out. I was about 1 hour from home and had to go 45-50 mph due to the doughnut size tire. Anyway I was just about 2.5 miles from home and I hit a deer! Finished destroying the front end of my car with that. It is all repaired and all is well, insurance covered it. Now, I get to drive it on the highway again, oh fun.
Well need to go gotta get packing! Dive gear is already done. Now for me and my stuff.
