There is always the Hermit's Gulch campground up Avalon Canyon for those on a tight budget. You can stay there and take a tram into town for a small fee. I think they have storage for your dive gear if you're not diving.

This weekend is the second weekend of the JazzTrax festival so most hotels will be booked and they might still be on peak rates.

Ahhhh...
You are inquiring about accomodations, and not just someone to dive with.
While I agree that female divers are superior beings with a sixth sense for danger, zero ego, and smell better during surface intervals, they are usually more comfortable staying with strange women than strange men. (insert Groucho Marx sound effect)

i would try a one day trip you can get good 4 or more in dives in head over at 6am comeback at 6 or 8
