Just remember the the most important rule of knot tying; A not neat knot needs not be knotted!

I agree. Nice work. Knots that every diver or person aboard a boat should know. Well done.

Is there a reason you would prefer a clove hitch with two half-hitches over a round turn with two half-hitches?

Sweet work... very clear visual presentation.

... lookin' forward to subsequet parts...

Surely the main rule of knots is "if you don't know which not to use, tie lots"

I always go with, "If you can't tie a knot, tie a lot."
I've seen some truly horrendous abominations "tied" at work by scientists...

Hey this is Adam, in response to Sparticlebrane's question: a clove hitch retains more of the ropes origional tensile strength and is therefor a stronger and more reliable knot. The difference is not more than ten percent but when you are talking about the lifeline of your diveshop the right choice could make you or break you.
