Example, today it was 65 on the surface, 74 on the bottom (110'). Like swimming in very strong iced tea colored water with vis from the surface to 87' about 15' and below that maybe 5' with mixed haloclines, thermoclines, particles in the water column and a really cool hydrogen sulfide layer. The tide was on the way in so the east side bottom water near the vent was clear.
 
I dove Hudson Grotto once , and I actually think I would have enjoyed diving in a toilet bowl instead.
