Drysuit Certification when?

Ron is PADI, but it doesn't really matter. The material is pretty much all the same. The real key to a drysuit class is the practical portion. You have to be able to adjust the air in your suit, practice venting air, and simulate an uncontrolled feet first ascent. I also make my students flood their suits in the pool to know what it feels like.

Ron's a good guy, I would recommend him.

I want to dive this weekend with the drysuit at Break Water, can anyone volunteer to help me out. I spoke to my instructor and she will sign me off with my ocean dives in March but in the meantime I'd like to practice in shallow water.

Ron is PADI. He might have a book you can read or just see if you can't use the SSI book and then get the PADI cert. Might be possible. BUT he is a great and extremely patient instructor and I would totally recommend him. Mark and I dove Tahoe with him and had a blast doing that. (as you can see, i failed to notice that this thread already had 2 pages!)

Anyhow - looks like a good fit for you - so get in the water with it already!

Hey all,

As my title says I am still not certified for drysuit but that didn't stop me from lecturing about drysuits at my college. My students got a blast in my college and composition and research english class. They get to write a cause and effect essay on the inherent dangers of diving.

They will be citing several books that I have made copys for and my lecture notes on diving in general. If anyone would like to give me any do's and don'ts to drysuit diving I would pass it on as another cited material for the class, a personal email.

I promise you that I will get certified soon but in the meantime since I haven't gotten a chance to dive, I incorporated it into my lecture for English, one of my students snapped a pic of me as they saw I was so into diving;
