I had a pdf Dive Manual from 1999 and learned a lot. This 2008 revision is welcomed in my e-library. Thanks for posting the link.

Read this over the weekend, an excellent referesher and read.

It's interesting, though not surprising, how much this influences PADI, NAUI, SSI, etc. materials which is as it should.

I find this puts into context so much of what is taught in small snippets, as a whole all the interrelated diving principles make so much more sense.

HIGHLY recommended for everyone from the new diver to the most experienced. Its easily readable and very understandable - though not short (mearly a 1,000 pages, but well organized)/

Does anyone know why it says in the US Navy Diving manual that a distance line is longer than 10 ft (3m) and no longer than 81 ft (25m)?
