Question is not in skills when passing.

Question is - are students taught on knees or is it AVOIDED AT ALL by using any different method of teaching?

It sounds like that is what Brian was saying. I wouldn't expect a GUE open water class to have ANY segment of in-water training be on the knees. Law of primacy and all that.

Students might end up there by accident, but all skills are explained, taught, demoed, and expected to be done off the knees and off the bottom.

in GUE, end up there, lose your mask. One learns in a hurry. :blinking:

I feel that all agencies should strive for all students to not do ANY skills while kneeled on the bottom.
