Hi all,

I have been trying to put together a custom package (new bcd, regs, computer) with LeisurePro, because I wanted a metric pressure gauge in the console and all their standard packages only have imperial ones. I figured that this wouldn't be too difficult, since well, half the world uses metric. Only I've just been told by the sales rep I was dealing with that all the pressure gauges they have are in PSI, not Bar. I still want to put together a package, but I want a metric pressure gauge. I have to admit I was surprised that LeisurePro couldn't do this, since they seem to get such good comments around the place. Anyway, can anybody recommend an online dealer who is actually able to put together a package with a metric gauge?

Thanks!

Recently I've bought a TUSA spg at Divers-supply. I've tried to order it in Bar, but it's not possible. I had to open a "customer support case" to change the standard imperial to metric. However, Bar spg was in back order and there was no date for delivering. I had to go back to imperial.
It's almost impossible to buy anything in the USA in metric units.

Also living in Australia, I'm all bout the metric system.

I don't know exactly what you want in a package, so the cheapest way may to get the package you want with an imperial gauge then get your own metric SPG separately. In my experience Scubatoys seems to be the cheapest and may be able to help with the whole package anyway.

All the websites I've email about gauges have offered to supply metric gauges at the same price as their advertised imperial ones. Maybe I just got lucky and picked the right ones.
It was quite a while ago, but I think the sites I emailed were ScubaToys, Dive Right In Scuba and Joe Diver America. Dive Right In does have a metric SPG advertised (Sherwood).

Dive Imports (even in WA!) have a reasonably priced metric SPG (AUD$90), and free postage on orders over $100.

DiveMania (Sydney) also have a reasonably priced brass metric SPG (just the gauge, need your own hose) for $90 (the picture shows imperial but description definitely says 0-300 BAR).

Just out of interest, I was going to buy a DiveRite Mini SPG or the Mares Mission 1 (I think).

Hmmm. Order from a UK website. You should get all metric. I have been over here so long, that I can't think in feet anymore. Al my pressure gauges are bar and I can't think in anything but meters now. It is so much easier. Temperature, however, still screws me up. Fahrenheit only. Good luck. Have you emailed Scubatoys or divers direct and asked?

Don't know about combining it in a package but here's a spg that has both psi and bar
OMS Brass PSI/BAR Pressure Gauge,(52mm)

Maybe you could get the package, swap out the spg and sell the one you don't want...

I emailed scubatoys and scuba.com. Waiting to hear back. Hopefully they can do something for me :)

I really only started out with LP because they get such good feedback around here.

WetPup,

I'm not sure who you talked to when you called in, but we do have metric gauges: Gauges | Scuba Gauges at LeisurePro.com . If you were looking for a computer console with a metric spg, that's bit more limited selection: Computers | Dive Computers at LeisurePro.com . Also keep in mind that every air integrated dive computer that we have can be switched from metric to imperial just by changing a setting. In regards to the packages, we can change 1 item a package, so if you would like to insert a certain metric console into the package just give us a ring and we can do that for you.

Thanks Brett. I was after a console, but wasn't really after an air integrated setup. Will look into the console you have though.
