I enjoyed a couple of days diving in the British Virgin Islands last week with Dive BVI. We did a double dip of the RMS Rhone, which was very nice. Swam by "Fang" the barracuda guarding the entrance, rubbed the lucky porthole and enjoyed the beauty and history of the wreck. The second day we dove off Carvel Rock, which had very lush coral growth. Saw a nice turtle too. 2nd dive was off Shark Pointe on Scrub Island. We dove under a huge school of baitfish with 5 or so big tarpon swimming around. A nice spotted eagle ray glided by too. Very nice crew in Andy and Sam.

We had a great time diving the BVI. It doesn't get much mention as a destination, but we enjoyed excellent visibility and very nice corals. Did you see any bleaching? Our trip was four years ago.

Yes there was some bleaching due to warmer water. Hopefully the coral will adapt and recover. But yes the BVI were really nice to dive.

That is a nice collection of sites to go to. Shark Point we can only dive in uncommonly calm weather. The guys (and gals) at Dive BVI are really nice.

We try to stay under the radar! It has been a slightly rough year for bleaching. A lot of people commenting on it for the shallower sites. But weirdly, it seems to correlate with an explosion in marine life, like sharks, turtle and lobster. Maybe just a coincidence though.

Thanks for diving with us!

Wow, you got to do some of my Top 5 spots. The weather has been perfect for getting out to the "Great" sites and we are trying to take advantage of it. Can't wait to see you guys again soon!
