Just returned from a week diving in BVIs (week before Earl visited). The diving was great - Wreck Alley and Cistern Point (Cooper Island), the Chimney (Great Dog), the Indians (next to Pelican Island), and Painted Walls (Deadchest) were great and very healthy with large schools of fish. Couldn't believe it when a gigantic (more than 6') tarpon swam by in the shallows on the east side of the Indians. We used local dive ops for some guided dives as well as off our chartered Lagoon 420. Very warm days and very pleasant nights; the approaching full moon was great for the night dives.
Best wishes to the hardy souls in the islands for a speedy recovery from Earl. Seems Fiona will veer north and give a bit of respite to clean up, while TD9 makes way west.
