Hmmm, did you really mean to post THAT? :D

What should I have said? :idk:

"I'm doing without until Sunday." Is that better? :blinking:

 What is the correct term, please? List? or yaw?

At last! An item I can help with...

"List" is when you turn (clockwise/counterclockwise) on an axis drawn down through your body (i.e., an imaginary line going through the top of your head down to a point between your feet.

"Yaw" is when that line is off to left or right from your forward direction of travel. Think of a plane landing while "crabbing" into the wind.

Whoot! I'm very familiar with the 2nd one, as I've taken many a puddle jumper into Huachuca's windy airport!

Thanks so much. I list!

Thanks so much for going through this with us. I'm glad I found this thread. I'm going through the evolutionary process too. Tweak, try, change is the story of my life right now. We're learning a lot that's for sure.

General question - when I come out to N Florida to do my sidemount class, will I be able to rent HP100s or should I start practicing locally with AL80s?

Seems like all y'all out there own your own . . .

You can rent 100s from Rob or Edd, don't worry. :D

I just did a solo sidemount dive at Tobermory, about 3 hours from here. 53F water - toasty - and it was fun to just dive.

I have 85s, which are very similar, and Edd has 100s.

And, here are some pics, of Mike's bump helmet. It was purchased locally, manufactured for commercial boat hull cleaners, to help them from bumping their noggins. So it was perfect for the diving application, no foam to remove and try to fit. He mounted a couple of lights, as redundant back-ups and voila!
