I can't seem to unscrew my port body from the 8" dome. Is there a secret to getting it unstuck?

Never mind. I got it off. Ended up using a strap wrench with rubber coated strap.

I got it unscrew. Simple expansion contraction theory. I tried blowing hot air with hair dryer, but it still not giving way. Maybe the inner port body expands more than the super dome port. Then, I put it in my freezer for half an hour. With a little bit more determination, I manage to get it unstuck. Hope my experience helps others too. Safe diving and enjoy...

i have used the freezing method and it seems to work although i have my port and dome in for service at this time due to the two pieces being stuck to one another. very frustrating setup.
