Have a Dorcy (actually Penetrator 220 from Piranha) and an Intova. Prefer the Dorcy and it is available at a better price as well.

I'm also in need of a similar light and have been looking at the Intova (either Ultra Torch or compact). Any preferences for the Dorcy 220 vs the Intova lights: they both look like high quality lights so perhaps just personal preferance.

I do like the lumen output and Amazon price on the Dorcy. Thanks

The big difference is the battery type. The Dorcy takes AAA batteries including NiMH rechargeables. Most Intova Ultra takes the CR123A Lithiums which cannot be replaced with rechargeables. The Intova Compact takes 3 AAA cells while the Dorcy takes 6-- twice the energy.
