Cessna Plane in Perch

Someone asked me what the plane was in Perch lake. I know it was used formally as a parachute jumping platform, and a model 182 springs to mind, but I'd like to know.... Does anyone of you plane buffs/Perch divers know?

I'd like to go back over there and retake those in spring when there is no algae bloom.

You don't have to wait until spring for the blooms to disappear. They will be gone by December but it makes for colder diving.

I have always wondered how it got down there?

after the engins where removed and all the hydealic lines where cleaned out it was placed in the lake as a scuba toy.

Maybe we can try and figure out who is responsible for the plane and the car and the other nutty stuff. I would guess the city but it would be interesting to find out.

I always assumed one of the dive shops was involved, I bet ABQdiver knows something about it ? Maybe the Blue Hole ghost flew it in there???
