I'm a volunteer right now. I did work as a part time firefighter, as well as a station live-in firefighter in Vincennes, IN, while I was pursuing my AAS in Fire Science & Safety at Vincennes University.

I also work as an EMT. I'm applying for full-time jobs right now tho!

I have a couple certs:

EMT-B
First Responder
Mandatory FF (IN's 24 hour mandatory cert)
Basic FF
FF I & II
FireMedic I & II
Instructor I
Inspector I & II
Driver/Operator-Pumper
Driver/Operator-Mobile Water Supply
EMS EVOC/Driver

Wildland Firefighter I
NIMS Awns & OPS
Structural Collapse Awns
Vehicle & Machinery Rescue Awns
Trench Rescue Awns
Confined Space Awns
Swift Water Rescue Awns
Rope Rescue Awns
Wilderness Search & Rescue Awns

(don't let them fool you. I don't know jack!)

I am currently taking an Investigator I course, and let me tell you, it is AWESOME. It's a very fun and challenging course. I have also taken numerous non-certification courses that have taught me a lot. I will be taking an Advanced-EMT course this spring and hopefully will start Medic school within the next year. I am definitely looking forward to it!
