a buddy and I are going to dive northshore lake in finger lake state park just north of columbia this coming weekend. The park office told me they used to have divers come out but haven't in a while. The water looked really good. The office said it was over 30 feet deep but didn't know how much over. I plan on finding out. Has anyone out there dove this lake? I am curious what to expect.

I have not dove it, but I did go check it out once. My guess is that the vis will be less than 3 feet, and the bottom will be very thick muck with a heavy moss cover, and probably no large rocks or walls. But who knows? I'd love to hear your report.

From what I heard the place got really messed up when Taum Sauk overtopped back in '05
