Thought this would be fun to share- Recently we used a Canon T3i in an underwater housing driven by a custom robotic panoramic system to take what is, as far as we know, the worlds highest resolution underwater image at 2.6 gigapixels. This video (National Geographic Live! - Underwater Robot - YouTube) shows the system working as well as the resultant spherical imagery from a flooded cave system in the Yucatan. Let me know what you think!

Thats pretty cool, I bet with some more lighting it could be fantastic.
 
Really cool! Is an app being released similar to what they showed in the video? I'd love something like that if it was updated with knew panoramic pictures every so often!
