Been using Listerene for the past 12 years. I don't leave the mouthwash in it, just a quick rinse and then, sometimes, rinse with potable water. So far no damage or wear on my (and wife's) BC & BPW.

In sailing, we noted that sails used in salt water did not grow mildew, whereas the ones we used in freshwater races, or rinsed after saltwater races, would mildew if put away wet. So, we stopped rinsing out sails after saltwater races. Still end up with salt crystals, but keeps the mildew out.

Salt crystals>Mildew any day of the week!

Another trick is to inflate and deflate the BC on a tank before storing. The tank air is very dry and will take up the excess moisture and dry out the bladder.
