i have reached master diver status at this point. i also have the science course done as mentioned. i still need my search and recovery to finish the list of specialties needed. we are supposed to start the dive guide classes this week (finger crossed - been waiting all winter). if i pass that, it gives me the dive master rating and then onto the dive control specialist classes.
i was hoping this all would be done by now but no such luck. better late than never i guess.

we were out last night doing a few rescue scenarios. seeing as i knew we wouldn't be in the water that long i only put on my thin skins under my bag suit. basically no insulating value. turns out the water on the surface was only about 46 degrees. in 20 feet it was 38 degrees. ever try towing an unconscious diver with hypothermia setting in. lol that sucked. note to self......check water temp before getting into the dry suit. lol fun fun fun

I just finished Science of Diving course using new (?) online course material. Of course I don't have an idea what was the previous material like but my instructor pointed out that some of the exam questions were not related to the new material (and some of the right answers were wrong). If it's true why the exams are not renewed at the same time with the course material?

Unfortunately (IMO). SSI rolled out their digital program prematurely. There have been a lot of inconsistencies & bugs in the program, causing lots of frustration & they did not even have ALL their materials available. This is just my opinion only, but SSI would have been better off waiting until all was ready, before rolling out the program,... instead of rushing it..... Now we instructors are basically left holding the bag with the mess. Our customers expect us to have the answers as to why things are out of order or how to get through the bugs of the system. I usually have to admit, I have no clue.

Yeah the new app has been interesting , hope they got the bugs fixed when I start down this road next year.
