Heading to Utila on Sat the 7th. Wondered what the whale shark sightings were like? Are they being seen on dive boat runs or do I have to rent a special charter to see them?

Thanks
Eric

Hey, C: You are getting there at the very beginning of rainy season. All whale shark sightings (99 +%) are on the north side. You will have to go there by boat and most do, weather permitting. You don't say who you are diving with. Ask them if they go to the north side, and if they try to snorkel with WS when in area. The best WS times are March-April on Utila.

we saw plenty in august but haven't seen any yet in september
