Is it a golden tail???---it never came out any farther than that & was pretty dark(black) looking....Shot in Bonaire about a month ago........tia...

This is a good example of a "regional characteristic" and one reason that it's important to mention location when asking for an ID on the forum. Bonaire has many goldentails with small, widely spaced freckles. Here in Cozumel, the freckles are closer together and larger. They look like different species but aren't!

Good point.
this is one from Belize and it looks very different.
