Are there any good scuba magazines currently being printed? I already grab "Dive Training" for free when I visit my LDS. I'd like to have a magazine with maybe some objective gear reviews or a writeup about some amazing dive somewhere.

Suggestions?

No, there are none.

Well, at least that's a new answer to a very oft asked question.

I can't think of any magazine that publishes really good gear reviews, where they talk about the good AND the bad.

Alert Diver has well-written articles and can be informative. GUE's magazine, Quest, has incredible photography and always has interesting articles about exploration projects, and sometimes just articles about diving some cool places. Diver magazine has some good columnists. But just like with the vast majority of magazines out there on ANY subject, the main diving magazines are so beholden to their advertisers that it can sometimes be difficult to figure out if what you are reading is paid advertising or an article . . .

Wreck Diving Magazine is a good read. (www.wreckdivingmag.com)
