Hello, I'm new to diving to Toronto / GTA / Ontario and want to get a dry suit (so that I can dive locally) and also looking for places that have good instructors for dry suit course (and potentially later on for other courses).

Appreciate any suggestions / comments. Thanks.

Where in Toronto are you? How far are you willing to travel? If you are willing to go to Richmond Hill you might want to check out AquaSub Scuba Diving Centre. When I lived in downtown Toronto I used to drive to Richmond Hill for AquaSub. Really happy with everyone at the shop especially Nobert, Jessica, Diane and Reed.

If your an avid diver I don't think you'll regret going dry. Being able to dive year round definitely has its benefits in our climate.

As scubadiver888 asked where in the GTA are you going to be. If you are out towards Oakville check out The Dive Academy for great service and local knowledge. Ask for Dean.

If you are out near Oakville I'd +1 for Dean as well. I dealt with Dean when he was in Burlington (Float N' Flag). Haven't been out his way since he opened Dive Academy but I'm sure it is a good dive shop if Dean is there. :)

try Dans Dive Shop in St Catharines... dont think any other shop in Canada moves as many drysuits as they do

+1 For Dans. Matt is an awesome instructor, course includes Drysuit rental in case you decide its not for you so you dont have to spend $$$ on suit before you are certified.
