Does anybody have any experience with cheaper wide angle dive lights for my gopro? I was looking at the Mako Speargun brand light

Morph back up with video head works well for me.

I use the Mako lights. Very happy with their performance.

I just put together this GoPro rig... It uses the Cree UltraFire XML-T6 Dive Torch. I read mixed reviews on it, but I am amazed at how bright this thing is for a small, cheap light. I bought it online for $20 (and the batteries/charger cost an additional $10.)

It's billed as a 1600LM light and, while I'm no expert, I'd believe it to be true. Besides the camera and light, the mount I built was basically free. Made of a steel bracket, washers, a steel clamp and bolts.

The magenta filter came off a cheap filter set meant for the Panasonic Lumix FZ-150. They snap on perfectly. 13 dives - nothing has threatened to come loose at all. Its a sturdy, practical, cheap rig and I love it.

Now that's one of the most simple straight forward rigs I've seen to date. Is that light a wide angle beam?

It's very wide, with a concentrated circle in the middle. Thanks.
