Just back from Curacao a couple of weeks ago - we found the reefs to be in great condition and every dive was like diving in an aquarium.

Mushroom Forrest was cool, but we were in a ripping current so literally blew over it. Favourite site was Redhio.

I'll be in Curacao (my first trip) in a couple weeks (can't wait). Where is Redhio? It doesn't show up on my dive map

John,

Rediho is a boat dive in the West, 5 to 10 minutes by boat south of Mushroom Forest. It is my favorite site in the area, absolutely beautyful! Go West Diving goes there on a 2-tank trip usually on Mondays, in combination with Paradise, which is between Playa Jeremy and Small Knip; another great site that I also much prefer over Mushroom Forest :b)

You can find a dive site map including Rediho and Paradise here: GO WEST Diving - EN - Dive sites - GO WEST Diving Curacao

Where will you be staying on Curaçao?

Happy diving,

Andreas

Hey bqualls!
Interesting articles are available from Carmabi and other Scientific Research sources suggesting that the reefs surrounding Curacao are some of the best in the Caribbean... check this out: Sixty Years of Coral Reef Research in Curaçao | DCNA

We always have our opinions and our perspectives... best way is to experience it!!

BTW... additional research suggests that Oospunt (Eastpoint) is one of the only reef systems that is still experiencing growth!!

So, check it out and we will look forward to seeing you on Curacao!!
