It would be nice to have a "Dive Software" sub forum where people could post questions about the various dive log and dive planning apps.
But I'm a bit unclear if there is a process how I could request creation of such a forum...

Why am I interested? I'm the maintainer of Subsurface (am open source / free dive log that runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux and supports most common dive computers) and would love to have a place to answer user questions...

I think this is a great idea. If I knew about the alternatives sooner I wouldn't have had to put up with Suunto Dive Manager fo as long as I did

Would love it. Maybe then I might find a divelog program that would download my Mares Icon and run on PCLinuxOS.

Me 2-5!

I think that makes 25 individuals interested so far.

+1.
This is the only software I plan on ever using. I hope it will reach a wider audience and the combined inputs and feedback will result in many greater improvements and developments than what would be possible from a solely developer forum.
