I'd like to get a shore dive in before the end of the year weather permitting of course, but Bradenton Beach looks like the best area with Spanish Rocks, Regina Sugar Barge, and Third Pier Reef being close to each other. I'm off on Sunday's and Monday's and would like to go with someone who's been to the sites so there's no confusion as to where they're at. I don't know anyone else that dives so I figured this would be a good way to reach out. The water is chilly at 68 degrees, but I think it's still manageable. Anyone down?

Anyone have an update on recent conditions?

I took a gamble, conditions were pretty good, vis was 12 - 15ft, water temp was 82. Plenty of other divers out there.

I now this is a really old post, but wondering if anyone has dove this site recently. My hubby and I moved to Punta Gorda a year ago and have been checking out some west coast shore dives around Venice -- now want to loof for some others. Is this area still diveable? Worth it as a "get by" dive? Any suggestions on finding the sites would be appreciated as well.
