Special alert: Coz Weather Report...

I have good and bad news for Invaders today. The good news is that the weather has turned for the far better. The rains have stopped, the sun is out and diving (at least across the channel along the Mayan Riviera) is awesome. Elena and I did two caves at Eden Cenote yesterday. The first, River Run, was pretty enough and a bit freaky deaky with the incessant halocline at 30 ft or so. It was like we were flying over the water's surface much of the time and the turbulance between the two layers distorted your vision. It made following the gold line a bit difficult and kind of fun. The second dive was to the Wizard's Den. WOW!!! Thousands upon thousands of stalagmites and tites really made you feel like you were in a a wizard's den deep in a gothic medieval castle. We don't get to see this in Florida caves. Not by any stretch of the imagination. I could hear the Fugue in D minor playing in my head during this dive.

Great to hear - have been watching the Wx report and figured the storm would be well on it's way towards Texas with Vis clearing quickly. Going to assume we will still have to deal with afternoon showers on occasion.

Props to Al at @Bay Adventures and Dive Paradise. They have arranged to service a ScubaPro regulator for us when we arrive in Cozumel. We just bought it used and will not get our hands on it until we leave the states.

Anybody know what the hours are for the shore diving at our resort please?

Out of the water and tanks checked in by 10:00 pm... They would prefer tanks checked in earlier than that because they want to lock the door at 10:00. This was something of an issue last time we were there.

I also want to remind everyone on
the importance of getting Hydrated before
and
staying Hydrated during the Invasion.
(beer and margaritas don't count)
It will be very hot down in Cozumel especially for the northern folks.
Drinking small amounts continually during the day instead of downing 1-2 glasses a day
will help your body retain the liquids better. And remember if your planning on drinking after diving, drink some water in between drinks
to help with the adverse effects of drinking and dehydration.

Have fun, but play it smart and safe.
