Folks,
Can you tell me if there is such a thing a “Jelly fish” season in Key Largo?

If there is, when is it?

My wife is a non diver but enjoys snorkeling and if room is available will join me on a dive boat. In the past while she hovered above, the jelly fish came a calling.
One of the crew told me she had never seen a person fly up the dive ladder as fast as my wife did.
Thanks,
Bill

September seems to be the time the dreaded Moon jellies visit the upper keys , give or take
a week or two . Maybe she can try a wet suit or skin if you are visiting during that time frame .
Remind her they don't chase you down , they just float with current . Good luck and have a good visit !

Seadweller,

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question.
I thinking just as you recommend, wet suit or some type of exposure suit.
I also think my wife’s problem is she is just plain scared of them.
Again, thanks.

Bill
