First dive using the new Sony FE 90mm F/2.8 macro with the Sony A7 II in a Nauticam NA-A7II housing, Two Inon Z-240 strobes shot in manual. All shot at ISO-200 using EFV and Nauticam 45 degree enhancement viewfinder. Octopuses eye F/16 at 1/250th, LizardfishF/11 at 1/125th, Batfish F/11 at 1/125th.

This is one outstanding macro lens.

Phil,
good to hear. Are you planning a more comprehensive review of this lens somewhere? I have a NEX-7 which I assume will work with this lens. Has Nauticam produced a port for this lens or does one of their existing ports work?

Hi hibneth, shooting for a review of the A7 II with Nauticam housing using 90mm macro and 16-35mm zoom for the Sept/Oct issue of uwpmag.com which will post Sept. 1 this is a free PDF download. I should have a second review for the A7r II in a later issue with more lenses.Hi Alien, I am using borrowed Nauticam equipment at the moment and as you can see from the photo the port configuration I am using is a temporary one. If has a 100mm to 120mm port extension with manual focus (which I am not using) a 20mm port extension and a standard 120mm macro port. The new port for the 90mm macro for A7 (100mm) housings will be a direct mount to the housing and extend the length of the port narrowing at the end to include a ball mount and the standard 67mm thread for accessory C/U lenses and flip adapters. The 100mm design will allow an extra volume of air to offset the weight of the lens and a bit of the housing. I used the system yesterday with two Nauticam 10 inch X 2.5 float arms and the system was very well balanced. Four of yesterdays new photos and the port configuration are attached.

I have the 90mm macro lens and love it above sea level on my A7S. Below, I shoot with the A6000 and the 50mm macro with a Nauticam port that doesn't have a manual focus knob. Shooting macro, that's challenging and I await your reviews with baited breath as I would love to standardize on a full frame platform once and for all.

Phil - I have the NEX-7 in the Nauticam housing. Will the new port for the 90mm need an adaptor for this housing ? I assume so.
Thanks
