I have a handful of dives on the car ferry but never penetrated this wreck. Can anyone share the location of points for penetration of this wreck?

A major opening would be the open car deck on the stern. There is a small staircase in the pilothouse and numerous points in the hull. There is a YouTube video on the wreck that shows were to penetrate. It's a mess below decks so enter at your own risk.

I only have a handful of dives myself and I have not penetrated extensively. I dive off the charter boats around Milwaukee and there are always very experienced divers aboard that have their own favorite places. The weather deck in the stern broke and collapsed onto the rail cars, partially exposing them. One of the rail cars on the starboard side loaded is visible along with wheels and trucks (railroad), etc. There is also a hole cut into the starboard side which was used to gain access to the engine compartment. People have taken pictures of the boiler with the painted star on it, etc. The pilot house came off during the sinking and lies upright about 150 feet to the port (South) from the rest of the vessel. Where the pilot house departed is open. The cabins below the pilot house are open and mostly intact. It is a popular dive spot with moorings usually at the port stern and the bow.

Spent more than a few dives on the Milwaukee... and to be perfectly frank...I consider penetration on that wreck a no-no... it has degraded substantially the last few years, is unstable, and is starting to fall in on itself. As a previous poster eluded, it's a real mess below decks. It's just, imo, become to dangerous as a penetration dive.
