I have been looking around the Cape Canaveral area. Quiet and fairly centrally located.

Just looking right now.
 
My dad lives and works in that area, and I grew up near there. It is very nice, though not great diving super close. A couple of hours south or west, and there is plenty, though.

Please explain, <decompression>, how you plan to retire in the USA when you're a Canadian?
Last I heard/read, you could not.
I retracted this post because after re reading it I realized it did not mean what it was supposed to mean.
