Does anyone have experience with the Sony FE 28mm f/2 underwater? I am looking for an a7II setup and would like to pair it with this lens + a Nauticam WWL-1.
Reviews say corners are soft at f2, which I am not much concerned about, I rarely shoot wide open.

Yes, it should work quite nicely.

Nauticam had some shots here: https://nauticam.smugmug.com/HousingTests/A7R-II/i-56K5JfF

Here's a shot of it mounted up. It's a lot smaller, faster and less expensive overall than the 16-35. The 28mm lens fits a small flat port 32 to mount the WWL-1 lens. We have all of this in stock...

Thanks Jack:) We apparently found each other on wetpixel too, its a really nice setup, something that finally looks like a camera, not a huge bulb:) Business-wise I am afraid I'll stay on this side of the Atlantic pond, our customs office works with a quite high profit ratio...

What are peoples thoughts on the WWL-1 in what circumstances will you use it? A port and a lens?

Jack how about the Touit 12mm lens with the WWL-1 on a NEX7?

Here is a review, it is probably better than most dome+dry lens combinations.

However it's FOV is limited to ~120°, not a real fisheye. In case you are cropping (like the a7rII's super 35 video), you loose even more from the "fish perspective".

I'd say I might stay with a real 180°fisheye (in my case: 28mm+sony converter) and a big dome.

The WWL gives you some advantage, but still not the holy grail, I don't expect a nikonos-like performance from it.

Thx. Flooded my camera using the Nikonos 15

Sorry to hear that:( That would have been my question to nikonos users, I certainly don't want to see additional risk in my uw setup. I'll most likely go either the wet-lens (WWL-1,or a competitor?) or the dome-way.
