For sure I've been wanting to dive Chillhowee lake and do some catfish spearfishing under the old bridge. I dive the Ocoee river every now and then to try and find stuff people lose whitewater rafting.

That sounds like a blast. I plan on diving the Pee Dee river my next trip home. I got several friends who fish for big cats with a fishing pole. I'd love to show them up with a spear pole!

Pee dee is about 6 hours from me but I've got family who live in Murphy NC. I've got two pole spears and a Cressi 110 Speargun so Let me know something

Sounds like a plan. I also have a spear pole. My buddy who also dives has a lakefront property on Lake Tillery NC. Its part of the Pee Dee. He also has a pontoon boat. Lots of big cats around there. Not to mention all the goodies the drunkards drop off their boats and docks.
