Now the thread is resurrected, I can use it to ask just *how* hog my rig is (I've received some good-natured ribbing for drinking the DIR cool-aid):

Halcyon traveler pro BP with 40# wing.
Halcyon ACB12 weight pockets, another 12# on a belt under my crotch strap.
Single tank, usually a steel 10Lx300bar.
Apeks XTX100 reg set with primary on 150cm/5' LH and bungeed secondary.
Suuntu Cobra AI comp, clipped to left hip D-ring.
Suunto Stinger backup comp on right forearm.
Suunto SK7 compass in bungee mount on right wrist.
Arm slate on left forearm.
SOLA 1200 light on left hand.
Backup light on left shoulder strap, clipped to the D-ring and secured with inner tube, DIR style.
Two right shoulder D-rings, the lower for clipping my camera rig tether to, the upper for securing my camera using the clip I've cave line tied directly to my camera tray. Also, a spare double-ender dangling from the lower right shoulder D-ring.
Waterproof D7 DS, 7mm hood in summer, 10mm hood in winter.
5mm wetgloves in summer, el cheapo no-name drygloves in winter, SITech Antares dryglove rings.
Jetfins.
In DS pockets: roll-up snorkel, slate, dSMB rigged with 30m/100ft spool and double-ender.
And, on nine dives out of ten, an Olympus OM-D E-M5 with a WA lens in a Nauticam housing and two strobes, held in both hands and tethered to my lower right shoulder D-ring via a spiral wire tether.

So, what's the verdict? Hog or not?

Typos are a feature, not a bug

I am not strictly Hog, but I am a minimalist though this rig hardly represents my end point for minimalism. My standard warm water rig is an Oxy 18 on a vdh plate. Aeris or Mares Quattros, Atomic or SP Frameless, Tekna titanium knife on the waist, weight integrated with XS QR dump pockets, reel with sausage clipped in a XS pocket on right harness, optional folding snorkel in a removable XS pocket on left harness, VDH Kraken DH reg and Conshelf second with 40 inch hose on quick release rigged bungee or Titan LX Supreme on five foot hose. For cool(er) water I switch to an Oxy 30, ScubaPro XL Jets. I have a DR750 corded light that clips into a pouch on my upper camband for either (when I want a light) and I switch to a weight belt for primary weighting. I only carry a snorkel when shore diving or other circumstance where I anticipate potential for a long surface swim. The snorkel pocket can be removed without threading my harness.

When solo I might dive the same rigs but would dispense with the octopus (second) and substitute a slung pony of 19 to 30 cf (or not).
