Hello friends! I have a small scuba diving non-profit called the Sea Star Foundation in Kearney, Nebraska for wounded veterans and individuals with PTSD and disabilities. Sea Star is having its first PADI certification program in April. We are looking for a few candidates who live in or near Kearney (with a buddy of their choice) that would be interested in Open Water scuba training over two weekends and some evenings at the end of April.

Costs are fully covered, but the application process is starting soon. If you or someone you know would benefit from the incredible, life-changing effects of the peace and pain-relief achieved from weightlessness underwater, please contact Adam or Christine at seastardivers5@gmail.com for more information, application and required medical questionnaire. Our mission is to create a team of active, empowered, strong individuals who can build new connections with friends and family through scuba diving. Thank you for your help!

Very good post.

I am a Marine Vietnam Vet.

I volunteer 3 days a week at the Ann Arbor VA hospital to work with PTSD vets.

These men and women have endured multiple combat tours and, sometimes, come home
to broken families, fellow citizens indifferent and unaware of what they have experienced.

The VA drugs them up: Perocet, Valium, Xanax. IMHO it just makes it worse.

SCUBA; the peace and tranquility in the U/W world helps a lot.

Thank you for your very valuable work. It will change lives.
