I had my buddy at the shop make me an aluminum drip dry "Z" hanger that fits in my receiver hitch. Now when I return to the dive shop and get my gear all rinsed off, I got somewhere to hang it. No more throwing that wet gear in the back seat to get the carpet and seats wet.

One more than one occasion I have laid all my stuff out on the dock to dry, and went inside the BS for an hour or so, and drove off and forgot something lying on the dock. Now I don't have to worry about driving off and leaving it on the dock anymore. The last time it was my boots. I had to call the dive shop and tell them I left them drying on the picnic table and to please bring them in until I come back to get them.

Made out of 2-inch radius aluminum tube. The top horizontal is 16", the vertical is 5 feet, and the bottom horizontal is 26". That puts it about 6' and a couple inches off the ground (depending on the height of your truck off the ground) so I can hang my wetsuit on it too and the bottom of the legs won't be in the dirt. You might have to adjust the bottom horizontal length depending on your trucks tailgate size and how your receiver is mounted.

He charged $60 dollars. That was materials and labor.

I made the PVC rack myself. I think I got about $10 bucks in pipe and fittings and the metal hook.

The PVC is 1/2 diameter

7 end caps
3 ninety degree elbows
4 forty-five degree elbows
2 four ways
1 tee
1 drain cleanout
about 5 feet of 1/2 diameter

The wetsuit hanger I made out of 1 1/2 inch. The metal hooks are painter's bucket hooks from Lowe's (in the paint dept)
