update

We have some good news to share with you! TGH purchased a new rectangular, four-door, 6ATA state-of-the-art Hyperbaric chamber from Fink Engineering. This will be the first of its kind in Canada.

The new chamber can accommodate eight (8) seated occupants or up to two stretcher patients, as well as two (2)attendants with either the two stretchers or the eight (8) seated occupants. Stretcher patients can be easily wheeled into the chamber, with no lifting required from staff. The chamber measures 19' L x 10' W x 8' 8" H, and has a washroom with a sink in the entry lock.

The target date for the new chamber is Spring 2005, and we will begin getting ready for the new chamber this winter.

We would like to thank you for your support throughout this process. As always, we are willing to answer any questions you may have about this, and we encourage you to call us directly with any of your concerns.

As we develop our plans and construction begins, we will forward to you regular updates about our progress. We believe that with your continued support we will have one of the finest and up-to-date chambers in North America.

That sounds like great news!

If there is anything the diving community can do to support this please pass it along as this is obviously something we want to see in our community.

Excellent news!!!

This may be good news or not! What is the depth/ pressure rating of the chamber? Is it a double lock chamber? Is it capable of the 165' depth required for the treatment of severe DCS or AGE?

Sounds like a slightly larger version of the one yhat use to be in Oakville at the MS Center. It was only capable of 33'.
