Man in critical condition after being pulled from waters off Baby Makapu'u
Ocean Safety responded to a scuba diver in distress around 10:45 a.m. in waters off "Baby Makapu'u". The male believed to be in his 50s, was brought into shore by bystanders. Ocean Safety started CPR until local EMS paramedics took over and transported the patient to an area hospital in critical condition.

Additional emergency responders including HPD and HFD also worked together for this incident.

Baby Makapu'u Beach is located just past Makapu'u Beach if heading north towards Waimanalo, before the fishing pier on Kalanianaole Highway.
